#NEWS - Coronation Ball's debut track "You Had My Heart" -

‘You Had My Heart’ is the first track from Tunbridge Wells based quintet Coronation Ball.

A slice of fiercely intelligent pop from youthful minds, frontman Dominic Scott cites "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes as an inspiration for the interplay for the lead vocal and the backing vocals, and Bill Medley's delivery on The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" as an influence on the middle section. Along with the titans of 60's pop, the band take equal influence from modern hip-hop production and leftfield indie-rock, and you can feel that in the brooding swells and twists that underpin the track.

The group are the perfect example of dilligent patience, working on their material in the studio and in rehearsal until it felt complete enough, mature enough for a wider audience. "You Had My Heart", recorded with Hugh Worksett, is an opening of those vaults, if you will, and a perfect introduction to the band's ambitious, eclectic melodicism.

Iggy Azalea - Fancy ft. Charli XCX

Sunday 6th April brings the release of Iggy Azalea’s new single, ‘Fancy’ feat. Charli XCX. The Australian rap siren exploded onto the airwaves last year with her killer underground smash, ‘Work’.  Almost 12 months on, Ms Azalea has made her mark across the globe, from London to Atlanta, Paris to Sydney, Milan to LA, cementing herself as a sure-fire pop sensation with a grand master plan, world domination.
‘Fancy’ feat. Charli XCX brings a new sound to Iggy’s repertoire, with stripped back production driven by an infectious retro-induced synth leaving the floor open for Iggy’s impeccable double time flow and Charlie XCX’s contagious chorus. Having previously produced ‘Work’ for Iggy, The Invisible Men (Katy B, DJ Fresh, Ellie Goulding) once again work their magic on the track while infamous Anthony Kilhoffer (2 Chainz, Kanye West, Beyonce) was enlisted to provide the final mix.
Powering back onto the scene following her first UK Top 10 hit with ‘Change Your Life feat. T.I’ accompanied by Australian support dates on the ‘Mrs Carter World Tour’ with Beyoncé and European tour support with hip-hop royalty, Nas earlier in 2013, Iggy is armed and ready to take her electrifying live show on the road again with new material from her forthcoming debut album, ‘The New Classic’,due to release later this year.
Following her biggest performance to date on US prime time TV, ’The Late Show, with David Letterman, Iggy was invited to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards Friends ‘N’ Family party, where she was joined on stage with fellow rapper, T.I. to perform their UK hit single, ‘Change Your Life’ together.
Last year Iggy ignited dance floors and festival fields across the UK with performances at GlastonburyWirelessRadio 1’s Big Weekend, The Great Escape and London’s O2 Arena to name a few; this summer will see Iggy return to the festival circuit as she joins the likes of Kanye WestPharrell Williams and Basement Jaxx at London’s Wireless Festival, with further festival appearances to be announced.

#NEWS - Bipolar Sunshine - 'Where Did The Love Go' -

Following on from an impressive 2013, Manchester’s Bipolar Sunshine has announced his new single ‘Where Did The Love Go’, which is available to download now.
A modern day love song, ‘Where Did The Love Go’ is trademark Bipolar Sunshine combining heartfelt, candid lyrics with an uplifting melody. The result is a track that begins understatedly modest, yet builds into something overwhelmingly compelling.
Bipolar Sunshine is the solo project of Adio Marchant, who over the past year has beguiled fans and critics with his unique sound. Refusing to be constrained by genres, his two introductory EPs immerse the listener in dense, lush soundscapes, uncompromising subject matter and conversational vocals. The diverse collection of songs is a testament to Adio’s open-minded approach to creativity and includes first single ‘Love More Worry Less’, the soulful, reggae tinged ‘Drowning Butterflies’, upbeat ‘Rivers’ and live favourite ‘Fire’.
Bipolar Sunshine has been working with Kid Harpoon (Rihanna, Jessie Ware) and close producer Jazz Purple to put the finishing touches to his debut record, which will be released in 2014.
2013 saw Bipolar Sunshine play sold-out shows at Electrowerkz and Gorilla in London and Manchester respectively, as well as support slots with Bastille and HAIM. #NEWS - AbrAx & Ben Benecke | Across The Pond EP [Basslight Records]

Basslight Records is proud to present the highly anticipated 3 track 'Across The Pond' EP from UK based producer AbrAx and his US based counterpart Ben Benecke.
‘Across The Pond’ features a definite and individual style, with crossovers of Future Garage and Chillstep / Post-Dubstep. The EP carries a subtle chill-out vibe throughout, focussing more on musicality and ambience rather than creating ‘club tracks’.

The aptly titled ‘Across The Pond’ EP represents both sides of the atlantic with UK based AbrAx and US based Ben Benecke both delivering A game production and their signature sounds on the mix. Ben Benecke brings his production knowledge and glitchy sounds whilst AbrAx demonstrates his ability with rhythms and drums, and together it makes for something quite special.

From rapping in the courts of the Robles Park projects to playing the worldwide stage and gracing the pages of Vogue alongside Cara Delavigne and Tali Lennox, 21-year-old Tampa Bay rapper and model Dominique Young Unique prepares to release her debut single ‘Throw It Down’ through her new label home Epic on 6th April 2014.
Dominique’s now infamous mixtapes dropped when she was just 19 years old and have seen her go up against the likes of N.E.R.D, Big Boi, Die Antwoord and Gucci Mane and gain notoriety working with long-time collaborator, Yo Majesty producer, David Alexander.   Known for her rapid-fire raps and high-speed electro club beats, Miami bass sounds and 80s flavour, this 21 year-old is crashing onto dancefloors with her militaristic mash-up of club and hip-hop.
Last year saw her collaborate with production giants Diplo and DJ Fresh on the smash hit ‘Earthquake’ which was also the feature song on the Kick Ass 2 soundtrack.  Heading into 2014 the airwaves were set ablaze with another feature this time working with hot LA based 90s house and R&B alchemist Le Youth on new single ‘Dance With Me’.
Now Dominique is owning it with her own debut single ‘Throw It Down’, teaming up once again with hitmaker DJ Fresh, she has also enlisted the help of dubstep master Benga and the powerhouse that are The Invisible Men, the result being an explosive concoction of tribal beats, an atomic bass line and razor sharp flows; Dominique has landed and ‘Throw It Down’ will take no prisoners.
‘Throw It Down’ is the first release from Dominique’s highly anticipated album due for release later in the year which will see her collaborate with a crew to be reckoned with of some of the hottest names in the International music scene.
Mistajam gave ‘Throw It Down’ its first national play on radio on BBC Radio 1Xtra last night closely followed by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.
